The Emerge Therapy Services office is located on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Inniniwak, Ojibwe Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples and the homeland of the Métis Nation in Winnipeg. We support those who live, play, and work on Treaty 1 & 2 territory. We acknowledge that the water that nourishes us is from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation and the electricity that lights our way if sourced from Treaty 3 and 5.

In response to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, we dedicate ourselves to understanding the trauma and harms experienced by Indigenous People in the past and present and to listen to, learn from, and respect Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.

We pledge that we will engage in continued participation in training and research with the aim of educating ourselves about the atrocities the indigenous population has endured as well as the impact it has had, and will continue to have, for generations to come. With a trauma-informed lens we explore the lived experience of each client with the intention of learning, understanding and supporting their individual journey.
